Mickleover Travel began back in 2023, after identifying an opportunity in Derby for a Mickleover based taxi company. With serving our community at the forefront of our mind, we set about on a mission to create and operate a high-quality taxi and airport transfer service.
With a background in transport we hit the ground running. We quickly saw demand within Derby, but not just within the city, in and around Derbyshire too. Fuelled by positive word of mouth and glowing reviews our business has only grown from strength to strength - thank you!

Hey, it’s Elliott here! As a Mickleover resident - moving into the area a few years ago - I noticed a growing population in the area, and a lack of local taxi companies within the community to serve Derby’s residents. So, armed with a plan to meet this need, and the ambition I’ve always had to work for myself, in 2023 I decided to set-up Mickleover Travel.
With 10 years of prior experience in the transportation industry, I knew this was something I really wanted to build for myself. Before I knew it, I had started this very company and I quickly saw success - not only in the local community, but the business started gaining traction around the city too. This largely driven by great reviews and word of mouth. I'm truly passionate about providing an excellent service for our customers, so going above and beyond is the only way we do things at Mickleover Travel!
